What's new?

Bunny news... The past month or two has been a concerted effort to have all of our bunnies bonded with a friend, and all desexed. We had 3 of the bunnies that needed desexing, and now we are done.

It's been quite a hectic period at the guinea piggies. In addition to our guinea pigs, we also have 6 bunnies! You can imagine how busy our house is?! Recently, we had 3 of our smallest ones desexed.

Teddy was desexed a few weeks prior to Olive and Hatty. This enabled us to bond Teddy and Hatty together, they had been living as neighbours beforehand since we brought Teddy home. And now i'm so happy non of our bunnies are living alone!

Rocky, our little Netherland Dwarf, is our smallest bunny and is closely bonded with Maple, his best friend of the Rhinelander breed. These two are inseparable, an adorable little and large bun duo. Maple has a very sweet nature, and Rocky is such a good boy.

Rocky was adopted from the RSPCA, and Maple was adopted from the rabbit sanctuary. Rocky was our first bunny! he was here at the time we first adopted piggies, Pancake and Waffle!

Apollo, our Havana black bun, was adopted from the RSPCA and was paired with Olive a few months back. Apollo has lived next as neigbour to Olive and Hatty, so he was very familiar to Olive, which makes bonding so much easier! Olive is our black and white lop, with her huge dew lap, a beautiful girl. And Apollo the sweetest boy.

Hatty, Olive's sister, is also a lop with an otter colour. She has recently bonded with Teddy, the smallest member of our family, who is a harlequin lop. These two are so alike, their temperaments match perfectly, and they are so playful and fun.

Teddy is the youngest of the group and he loves everyone. Hatty is the sweetest, she licks your hand and rubs her chin on your hand.

I can introduce our bunnies in a seperate Blog post if you like? Let me know if you'd like to meet our buns.

Sales of hay have beenn keeping me busy, and it's wonderful to see a large number of people reaching out to buy hay. I've had many questions about delivery and shipping options, so I'm looking into these possibilities. I aim to have these options available by the end of November. If you'd like to receive updates, please contact us through the website.

We began by selling compressed oaten hay and have since expanded to offer full-length oaten and grass hay! I'm so happy grass hay is back in season. I've been feeding my animals a mixture of all 3 hays.

Our hay can be purchased on the website (currently pick up only), through facebook marketplace or messenger, you can find me on facebook as 'Kelly Pierce', or through our facebook page 'the guinea piggies and friends'.

So, anyway, hay sales have been keeping me busy!

In other updates, expanding from our guinea pig collection, I've been testing new fleece designs for rabbits! Our bunnies have been trying them, and I must admit, they're really loving them! Keep an eye on the website; they'll be available soon! You can get your hands on them now if you message me directly...!

I'm getting closer to adding a toy collection to the store, this will be completed and available by December...just in time for Christmas!

In closing, we have lots of do! Lots of sewing, lots of hay to sort and bag, and toys to make!
